Taliban Organizes Meeting to Assess New Online Transport Management System

The Taliban administration has held a meeting to evaluate a new online land transport management system. The meeting, led by Mullah Abdul Salam Haidari, deputy of the Transport Department in Kabul, focused on the launch, functionality, and features of the digital system.
During the session, emphasis was placed on the effective implementation of the system, and several representatives from the information technology sector were also in attendance. According to sources, the meeting also addressed some of the system’s shortcomings and included recommendations aimed at improving its performance.
While the adoption of digital systems could represent a positive step toward improving transportation services, concerns remain about practical and fair implementation due to the Taliban administration’s lack of transparency, unlawful governance, and structural weaknesses.
Previously, the Taliban had pledged to digitize certain government services, but the realization of these promises has consistently faced skepticism due to political, technical, and social challenges.
