Taliban Soldier Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen in Sar-e Pol

Local sources in Sar-e Pol province report that Sharafuddin, a member of the Taliban military force, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Friday, November 20, in the village of Malik in the Sozma Qala district.

According to sources, Sharafuddin served in the operations battalion of the Taliban army corps in Sar-e Pol and was originally from the Tophkhana village in the Sancharak district. No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.

While the motives and perpetrators behind the incident remain unclear, local residents have expressed concern over rising violence and insecurity in remote areas.

Taliban authorities in Sar-e Pol have so far declined to issue an official statement. Their lack of response and transparency regarding security incidents has raised questions among locals and monitoring organizations.
