70 Taliban Fire Department Personnel Graduate from Training Program

The Disaster Management and Firefighting Directorate under the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has announced that 70 of its personnel have graduated after completing a specialized training course at the department’s training center.
At the graduation ceremony held in Kabul, attended by Hafiz Noorullah Ansar, head of the directorate, he urged the graduates to carry out their duties with diligence. He also emphasized that fire department managers across all 34 provinces must pay special attention to maintaining firefighting equipment and tools.
In his remarks, Mawlawi Shir Ali Madani, commander of the training center, called on the graduates to act responsibly and diligently in ensuring public safety against fire hazards.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the graduates. While the training of firefighting personnel is an urgent necessity in the country, experts warn that the specialized nature of the training and its effective implementation in practice remains in question under an administration whose legitimacy and competence have repeatedly been challenged. Analysts believe that without accountable and well-equipped institutions, ensuring public safety and responding effectively to both natural and man-made disasters will remain a significant challenge.
