Roadside Bomb Kills Two Police Officers in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Two police officers were killed and seven others injured in a roadside bomb explosion in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan.
The incident occurred on Thursday (November 21), and according to Pakistani officials, the attack targeted a police vehicle on patrol. Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior confirmed the identities of the victims as Saifur Rahman and Ramzan.
The area has seen a surge in armed attacks and bombings in recent years, with many claimed by extremist groups, particularly the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Analysts argue that ongoing insecurity in the border areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been exacerbated by the growing activity of militant groups.
While the Taliban administration claims to have established security in Afghanistan, cross-border insurgent attacks along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier have increased. Observers state that the Taliban’s limited control over armed groups within Afghanistan is contributing to broader instability in the region.
