Six Detained for Illegal Bird Hunting in Ghazni, Taliban Officials Say

According to local sources, Taliban security forces in the Abi-Estadeh area of Nawa district, Ghazni province, have detained six individuals on charges of illegal bird hunting.

Local officials stated that the arrested individuals will be handed over to the relevant authorities after completing initial investigations to be dealt with according to regulations.

These arrests come following a directive issued by the Taliban leader that bans all forms of bird hunting, mandating security forces to strictly enforce this order.

However, some local residents say that lack of public awareness and difficult living conditions in certain areas contribute to the continuation of such activities, highlighting the need for clearer approaches and broader public information campaigns by responsible institutions.
