Amnesty International: Taliban Making Life Increasingly Hard for Afghan Women

Amnesty International has warned that the Taliban’s administration has made life increasingly difficult for Afghan women and girls by imposing widespread and systematic restrictions.
In a statement posted on the X platform on Thursday, November 12, the human rights organization said that women in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan are being deliberately deprived of education, employment, social participation, and other fundamental rights.
According to the report, the restrictions imposed by the Taliban have not only violated the rights and human dignity of women but have also severely limited their access to essential services, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Amnesty International has called on the international community to stand in solidarity with Afghan women and girls who are resisting these pressures, and to hold the Taliban accountable for protecting their rights.
