Border Clashes Erupt Between Taliban and Pakistani Forces in Spin Boldak

On Thursday evening, November 5, renewed military clashes broke out between Taliban forces and Pakistani troops in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province. Local sources confirmed to Amoo that the fighting began around 5 p.m. and was ongoing at the time of reporting.

According to sources and eyewitnesses, both sides used light and heavy weaponry during the confrontation. Witnesses report that Pakistani forces intensified the battle with the use of heavy arms, with the sound of gunfire clearly audible in the border areas.

The clashes come as the third round of talks between Taliban representatives and Pakistani officials is simultaneously taking place in Istanbul, Turkey, mediated by Turkey and Qatar. Continued border tensions cast doubt on the legitimacy and effectiveness of these negotiations.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties. The recurrence of such confrontations highlights a lack of effective border management by the Taliban administration, posing a significant threat to the security of residents in border regions.
