Taliban Administration Launches Seven Development Projects in Uruzgan

The Taliban’s Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Uruzgan province has announced the launch of seven infrastructure projects in the provincial capital and Khas district.
According to official information, the projects will be carried out in the city of Tarinkot and Khas district at a cost of more than 39 million Afghanis. The initiatives include the construction of retaining walls, small dams, water diversion structures, and bridges.
The department stated that the implementation of these projects has created job opportunities for dozens of local residents. Upon completion, the projects are expected to help alleviate some of the region’s environmental and infrastructural challenges.
These efforts come amid criticisms that the Taliban administration is mismanaging national resources and lacking transparency in executing development initiatives. The absence of effective public oversight and widespread skepticism about the administration’s competence have raised concerns among residents of Uruzgan about the longevity and effectiveness of these projects.
