Taliban Denies Presence of Pakistani Taliban Fighters in Afghanistan

The Taliban administration has once again rejected claims regarding the presence of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants on Afghan soil. In a video interview on Friday, October 30, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that no armed groups are permitted to enter Afghanistan.

Mujahid emphasized that a directive from Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada strictly prohibits the entry of any armed groups into the country. According to him, only those returning to Afghanistan as refugees are allowed to enter, and the rule does not apply to armed individuals.

These statements come amid repeated accusations from Pakistani officials, who claim the Taliban is sheltering TTP fighters. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif recently warned that the Taliban must either ensure security in Pakistan or face the consequences.

Despite such denials, concerns persist about the free movement of TTP-affiliated militant groups in some Afghan border regions. The Taliban administration has faced widespread criticism for its selective approach in dealing with extremist groups, especially along the Pakistan border.
