US Revokes Visa of Colombian President Over Pro-Palestinian Remarks

The United States has revoked the visa of Colombian President Gustavo Petro following his outspoken defense of the Palestinian people and his call for global action against Israel.
Speaking recently at a pro-Palestinian rally in New York’s Times Square, Petro condemned Israel’s actions and urged the international community to provide practical support for Palestinians. He also announced that Colombia would begin registering volunteers with military experience to join what he described as a “Global Palestinian Rescue Army.”
Petro stressed that this initiative would not be limited to governments, but open to people worldwide, declaring his own readiness to take part on the battlefield. He instructed Colombian embassies and consulates to show concrete and serious support for the plan.
In response, Washington swiftly revoked his visa, a move that has sparked international debate and questions. The decision comes at a time when Donald Trump’s administration is facing mounting criticism for its unilateral stance on Middle East conflicts.
